Areas of expertise

My area of expertise is sustainable design at various scales, ranging from individual buildings to entire urban districts. I am also deeply interested in the development of public spaces, green areas, and public transport, as they are essential to making cities more liveable. These aspects are fundamental to the successful achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Background

I work as a consultant in building sustainability, focusing on DGNB and QNG certifications, neighborhood-scale sustainability concepts, and ESG criteria. My projects strive to meet the highest standards in design, material selection, and energy efficiency.
Before moving to Germany, I worked on research projects at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and with the NGO CARE, developing low-cost, sustainable, and earthquake-resistant housing solutions.

What drew you to gaia-liNc’s mission?

From the beginning of my career, I have been drawn to how cities are designed and occupied—and how often they seem disconnected from nature. This has motivated me to work on proposals and capacity-building initiatives that help reintegrate ecosystems into urban environments.
What also draws me to gaia liNc is a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had to develop my career. I’m eager to share the knowledge I’ve gained and collaborate with a like-minded team to create meaningful change in our societies.

An interesting fact about you

My passion for urban development has taken me across cities and continents. While many of these trips were for study, they also allowed me to meet incredible people, join pilgrimages to sacred mountains and volcanoes, help build homes, and learn from diverse cultures about mindful and healthy ways of living.
